Practice.

Many people have a practice. It’s good to practice. I practice sometimes and other times I don’t. What I’ve learned is that practice does not, as they say, make perfect…but it can give one an expanded capacity to hold one’s imperfections with at least a shred of grace. This concept is at the heart of my practice. I’ve discarded the belief that I should “work on myself” to become a better person and have instead embraced the notion that I might simply focus on getting better at being a person. It’s a subtle and profound shift in my relationship to myself that has made a difference.
