One-On-One Preparation, Facilitation and Integration
Healing and transformation happens in relationship with trust, openness and curiosity as guiding principles. The preparation process will consist of three one-hour meetings (or more, if desired) during which we'll explore your intention for this work as well as risk reduction protocols for a safe and transformative experience. The preparation process is a collaboration and I will ask you to come with ideas about what you would like from our time together. It is my intention that we hold whatever emerges with curiosity, compassion and humor. I don’t have the answers to what you may be seeking. However, I trust in your innate wisdom and can help to clear the path as we step forward together.
We will spend the day together utilizing a healing modality to be determined during our initial call. I will facilitate by holding space for and gently guiding you during your personal process. I will attend to your needs and act as your ally and witness. Afterward, I'll offer you some light, restorative snacks. This session lasts roughly four to six hours.
We will have two one-hour integration sessions (or more, if desired) where we will explore insights and meaning from your in-person session. We'll consider how this new wisdom might be integrated into your life as well as how to re-enter gently into your daily routine.
If you are interested, please write me via the Connect page. I will write back to schedule a clarity call to answer your questions, discuss cost, the modalities I work with and for us to decide if we're a good fit to move forward. Our communication will be held in strict confidentiality.
Preparatory and integration sessions are conducted via encrypted video calls and in person, when possible. Most people travel to where I am for our in-person coaching session but I am willing to travel to you for an additional fee.
I'm located two hours from New York City, and about one hour from Albany, NY.
I'm Brian, a.k.a Twocats. I began my personal healing with the help of plant medicines in 2015. My life has been transformed as a result of this work and it’s my greatest privilege to safely share with and witness others in their own transformations.
I have participated in scores of traditional plant medicine ceremonies in South America, have undertaken several traditional plant “dietas”, learned under many teachers, facilitators and mentors and completed a three year intensive guide training program in 2020 rooted in the Mazatec tradition of Mexico. I've met the rigorous vetting standards of the Psychedelic Passage Network and am one of their few professional facilitators in the northeastern United States.
I am trained in the somatic therapy modality known as NARM (Neuro-Affective Relational Model), as well as in Hakomi.
I work on the assumption that no one needs to be "fixed". I trust in all humans’ innate, personal wisdom that guides each of us toward healing and wholeness. We are all at different points on this trajectory and the work we do together is but one point along the path. I will refrain from interpreting your experience for you or giving advice. Rather, I will facilitate your agency in making your own meaning and choices. I strive to hold an open, welcoming and dogma-free container for your exploration. Come as you are and that is enough.
This work can be transformative, even blissful and euphoric- but it is not always easy. The journey can be intense, uncomfortable, even scary at times, as it is essentially the process of becoming truly intimate with oneself, with life and even with death. What we may find on the other side of these experiences is an expanded capacity for feeling, expressing, tolerating, connecting, for being alive, and for being human; in other words, we may become more open to love.
If you feel this path may be right for you, please reach out to me via the connect page. I'll be happy to hear from you.
