Psilocybin Mushrooms for Healing and Transformation
The use of psilocybin mushrooms has been a part of healing traditions for centuries, offering powerful opportunities for transformation and self-discovery. Today, many individuals seek guidance from a psychedelic guide or psilocybin facilitator to ensure that their journeys are safe, intentional, and deeply meaningful. Working with a psychedelic coach provides the structure to prepare for the experience, reduce risks, and integrate insights into everyday life.
Through practices such as psychedelic therapy, participants are supported in exploring the layers of the mind, opening pathways for emotional release and deeper understanding. Whether engaging with psychedelic mushrooms in a guided setting or reflecting on the psychedelic meaning of the experience, the focus is always on healing and growth.
Each journey is unique, and exploring the different kinds of psychedelic mushrooms highlights the diverse ways these medicines can be approached with respect and care. When guided responsibly, the process can lead to profound psychedelic healing, helping individuals reconnect with themselves, expand awareness, and cultivate lasting change.
Whether you are seeking emotional healing, spiritual connection, or simply a deeper understanding of yourself, a psilocybin journey can provide a meaningful path toward wholeness.
Twocats Psychedelic Coaching
Ethical, experienced guidance and support for the preparation, risk reduction and integration of psychedelic experiences.
About Me
I’m Brian, a.k.a. Twocats. I grew up in a small town in New England and have been blessed to spend the better part of my adult life as an actor, director, writer, and composer with an internationally acclaimed, New York-based theater company. The thousands of hours spent onstage in an improvisational setting and extensive experience in related creative capacities have gifted me with a keen sense of embodied connection, which I enthusiastically bring to my current work.
I began my journey with psychedelics in 2015 with my first plant medicine ceremony- a powerful experience that offered, for the first time in years, a clear vision for my life’s potential, unobscured by limiting beliefs and behaviors.
Over time, with patience and attention, my personal journey work has resulted in welcomed shifts in perspective, greater intimacy with myself and others and an increased capacity for being human, resulting in ongoing positive transformation.
As a psychedelic coach, it is my greatest privilege to safely guide and witness others in their own transformations while holding curiosity, respect, and humor as guiding principles.
My training and expertise have centered on the healing and self-discovery potential of psilocybin (magic) mushrooms, emphasizing their ethical, respectful and responsible use as the core of my work.
My background includes extensive training and hands-on experience in traditional plant medicine work in South America, where I participated in scores of ceremonies and undertook in-depth “dietas” with teachers from the Shipibo, Quechua, and Santo Daime lineages. I completed a three-year, mentored, intensive psychedelic guide training program in 2020 rooted in the Mazatec tradition of Mexico complemented by modern therapeutic approaches such as NARM (Neuro-Affective Relational Model) and Hakomi.
I’ve met the rigorous vetting standards of the Psychedelic Passage Network and am one of their few professional facilitators in the northeastern United States.
What I Offer
I offer psychedelic coaching for individuals who wish to explore plant medicines for clarity, insight, deeper connection and intimacy, and greater meaning in their lives through thoughtful preparation, ethical risk reduction and attuned integration of psychedelic experiences.
The use of sacred psilocybin mushrooms for healing and self discovery dates back centuries, though their application in modern western contexts has only recently been rekindled. For those considering or already on the path of psychedelic healing, cultivating a relationship with an experienced, ethical psychedelic facilitator that is based on curiosity, trust and respect can be highly beneficial.
Rather than a cure or treatment for something, this work might best be understood as a gradual unfolding or deepening into what it means to be human, as well as a way of bringing into awareness that which is hidden. With some patience and humility, the process can, over time, help to expand our capacity for feeling, expressing, tolerating, listening, creating and connecting and often leads to positive shifts in how we perceive ourselves, our relationships and the world around us.
Embarking on this path is deeply personal and warrants careful consideration over time. This space is designed to support you throughout your process, from early planning, preparation, risk reduction and integration.

Testimonials
"I am very grateful to have Brian as my guide on the path of this journey. Brian is respectful and compassionate, his knowledge flows through conversations in a simple and direct way. His wisdom helped me cut through some entangled chaotic ‘knots’ in myself. With his support, I have the confidence and guidance to delve into problems that have taken control of parts of my life, and came out on the other side."
"Brian is a natural listener with a deep sense of intuition. I really cannot offer a higher recommendation. In the midst of a journey, he somehow seems to know when to gently pose a question, and when to hold space for the wordless experience. One particular standout quality to me is, Brian has this way in which he opens himself up to fully empathize with one’s personal dramas, but while having this twinkle in his eye, so as to gently and silently alert you to your own inner knowing about the larger picture.
He feels like a kind of artist in this field and I’m grateful to have come into contact with him."
"Brian is as close to an ideal facilitator as I could imagine, and I have only positive things to say about Brian’s work with me. His quiet attention to all the details of my experience are much appreciated. Careful at all times to give me space, I nevertheless felt secure, supported and aware of his guiding presence whenever I sought reassurance. He was very accommodating in providing music from the long list I had given him, but like a master conductor he blended in some wonderful passages which I would never have selected myself. These were well chosen for the experience, making me feel a heartwarming and grounding expansion of emotion and unity with the diversity of human experience.
I’m lucky to have been able to have Brian as a guide, and have no reservation in recommending his skill and expertise to anybody."
"I have had great experiences with Brian as a guide on two journeys. Our preparation sessions were thoughtful and supportive. We talked a lot about my intentions for each of the journeys but also about opening myself to go wherever the medicine led me and trusting it would provide the teaching I most needed. On the day of each journey, we approached the ceremony with respect and gratitude. I began each journey in a calm state of my mind, comfortable that I was in good hands with a new and trusted friend. Throughout the journeys, Brian was a reassuring and compassionate presence, ready to provide a hand on my shoulder when asked or to answer questions that helped me get through the scary parts. Our integration work has been wide-ranging with Brian picking up on my interests and concerns to connect me with resources that have helped me to build on my psychedelic experiences and bring the benefits forward into my regular life. I highly recommend him."

FAQ’s
What is psychedelic integration?
Psychedelic integration is the process of making meaning of, putting language to, noticing and incorporating insights, emotions, or experiences that arise during or after a psychedelic journey.
What’s the difference between a guide/facilitator and a psychedelic therapist?
In a rather large nutshell:
A psychedelic guide supports individuals through a psychedelic experience by helping clients
set intentions, navigate the journey, and integrate insights afterward. The relationship between
client and guide is usually non-clinical and focuses on the quality of relationship and the
psychedelic encounter itself as a means to deeper meaning, intimacy, healing and connection
in one’s life.
A good psychedelic guide/facilitator should emphasize connection, safety, presence, and have clear, well considered ethical and risk reduction protocols. It is essential that they have extensive knowledge of and personal experience with the medicines they work with and have trained/mentored under more experienced teachers and elders, often as continuations of established lineages. They should have extensive personal experience with psychedelics but are not under legal obligation to adhere to standardized codes of conduct and ethics. Therefore, these important areas should be explored to one’s satisfaction before proceeding.
A psychedelic therapist is a licensed mental health professional (psychologists, psychiatrists,
social workers, or counselors with advanced degrees) who use psychedelics as part of a
broader therapeutic framework to treat mental health conditions. They integrate psychedelic
experiences into broader psychotherapy.
They usually work in clinical or medical settings, often under strict regulatory oversight. Their
work is grounded in scientific research and therapeutic protocols.
A good psychedelic therapist should, aside from being a competent licensed therapist, have
some personal experience with the substances they work with but are not generally expected
or required to have extensive histories of personal psychedelic use.
A licensed psychedelic therapist will have a clear sense of professional conduct and protocols,
though may be less familiar with the psychedelic experience itself.
Which modalities do you support?
I specialize in coaching clients interested in utilizing psilocybin (magic) mushrooms but am familiar with and competent in helping with preparation and integration of experiences from a variety of psychedelics and empathogens.
Do you offer online sessions?
Preparation and integration sessions are conducted online via encrypted video calls and in person when possible. They are 1 hour in duration.
Is my information kept confidential?
Yes, all communication is conducted via encrypted messaging and video. I do not share any information or data with outside parties
Can you help me prepare for a psychedelic experience?
Yes. The preparation process is a collaboration. I will ask you to come with ideas about what you would like from our time together. In turn, I will offer what I know about how to best prepare for a psychedelic journey.
How many integration sessions will I need?
The number of integration sessions varies depending on the person and their intention. Typically, a minimum of 2 integration sessions is desirable.
Do you work with people who had "bad" trips?
Yes. “Bad” trips are almost always the result of poor preparation or triggered by a lack of safety due to poorly considered set (one’s intention) and setting (the physical space, atmosphere and company). Exploring psychedelics intentionally and respectfully greatly reduces the risk of such experiences by creating conditions of safety and trust through carefully cultivated set and setting, as well as the quality of relationship between the client and guide.
How much do your services cost?
